David and Barb

David and Barb Cocetti purchased Tongue Creek Ranch in June 2019 to embrace a new chapter of life, cultivating the land and living a self-sustaining lifestyle. Guided by Biblical principles for work and agriculture, they’ve transformed the ranch into an oasis where visitors find peace and serenity. Previously, the Cocettis lived in Castle Rock, Colorado, where they raised their two children, Tanisha and A.J. David, a retired South Metro Fire Rescue firefighter, channels his creative energy into countless projects that have made Tongue Creek Ranch a welcoming home-away-from-home. Barb, the Registrar at Delta High School (Go Panthers!), manages the ranch’s rental properties and provides on-site wedding and event planning. Together, they ensure that everyone who visits or stays at Tongue Creek Ranch enjoys a truly unique and blessed experience.

The Tongue Creek Chandelier

If you've visited the ranch, you’ve probably noticed the massive 500-pound, 9-foot tall cast iron chandelier hanging in the barn.

Dave had been eyeing the 1940s chandelier in a nearby junk yard for months. One day, he noticed it was gone, and feared he’d missed his chance to bring it to the ranch. But the next day, it reappeared, and he wasted no time asking the owner if they were willing to sell. As luck would have it, they were moving and gladly sold it to him.

David brought the chandelier back, wired it with lights, and hoisted it to the top of the barn. Now, it illuminates wedding nights and barn dances at Tongue Creek Ranch with its timeless glow.
